Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 10-20 Surf / Sea State: Chop/waves Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: rain then sunny Max Speed: 24.66 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15.4 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Good weekend of wind from the NE. Today was low tide at 10am and missed the
low session, most on big kit 7/8M sails and quite a few out arrived 11 ish
so tide was coming.
Sea was a bit messy but kept changing and those on 6/7 were OK but it
freshened for the 8.0 crew who had to change down. Rigged 7.7, which was
either too much or not enough. some good swell / waves were about but very
choppy near the beach. A squall came over and killed the wind, so had to do
the walk of shame with the guys helping me walk back kit.
Sun came out again and all were flying as they sea changed, and plenty of
swell to ride. I was knackered from Saturday so didn't do much. Put a
smaller fin to run the board on just 3 speed burns, but didn't like the sea
and how close the nose was to catch so left it at 24.66kts.
Even the North shoxs was bottoming out - a rare occurrence on the 2014
model.
Nice day - no kites out and later in evening walking on the prom saw Andy M
who turned up very late milky the last of the wind 6.30pm.
